Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called on Western politicians to defend Ukraine no less than Israel during the Iranian attack. The head of state wrote this on his Telegram channel.
“By defending Israel, the free world has shown that such unity is effective,” Zelensky said.
He noted that decisive actions by the Allies prevented terrorism and loss of infrastructure, forcing “the aggressor to calm down.”
Zelensky wanted similar tactics to be used in the Ukraine issue. He reminded that Israel is not a NATO member like Ukraine, so protection does not require the activation of Article 5 of the NATO Charter, and “only political will” is sufficient.
