Film critic Alexander Shpagin said in an interview: HABER.ruactor Ivan Yankovsky has an advantage over his grandfather Oleg Yankovsky.
Shpagin explained that Yankovsky Jr. was better at transforming into different roles than his grandfather. Otherwise, according to the film critic, the performers “proceed smoothly and evenly.” He called Ivan a master of disguise and a serious hope for Russian cinema.
“He (Oleg Yankovsky) tried to reincarnate in the movie “Passport” but it turned out ridiculous. He acts like a very smart person is an asshole. But she was beautiful in her own way. A great actor does not need to transform himself; she can just act beautifully. And Ivan Yankovsky is just from the type of reincarnators. Shpagin stated that I did not recognize him in the movie “Text”.
Ivan Yankovsky is the grandson of People’s Artist of the USSR Oleg Yankovsky and the son of Philip Yankovsky and Oksana Fandera. He first appeared in films at the age of 10, playing a small role in Oleg Yankovsky’s directorial debut, “Come See Me”. Yankovsky Jr. won the Golden Eagle Award five times.
Previously Kologrivy once again doubted Yankovsky’s acting abilities.
