– she added.
When asked how much time had been allocated for the hearing with MP Woś, she estimated that the committee would complete its work earlier this time than before. As she noted, “with closed doors, some committees, PiS representatives, will not try to create chaos every minute of the meeting.”

– said Sroka.
Woś’s first interrogation
At the first hearing, the former deputy head of the Ministry of Justice testified that supervision of the system was not carried out on a large scale, and he himself, as administrator of the Justice Fund, “with full confidence” granted the CBA a grant of 25 million PLN.
However, he repeatedly refused to answer questions from committee members. When asked when he signed the first documents related to the purchase of Pegasus, he said that the files of this procedure were not confidential and therefore he could not answer. He also did not want to provide information about who made the decision to transfer money from the Justice Fund to the CBA.
When asked who at the Ministry of Justice was responsible for assessing the application for funding for the purchase of Pegasus software for the CBA, Woś replied that they were “substantive employees of the Family and Minors Affairs Department of the Department of Justice.” Fund, which dealt with these issues.” However, he noted that he could not mention specific names during a public meeting.
The Pegasus Commission of Inquiry should investigate the legality, regularity and targeting of the activities undertaken using this software, including: by the government, secret services and police from November 2015 to November 2023. The Commission should also determine who was responsible for the purchase of Pegasus and similar tools for the Polish authorities.
