As the photo shows, one of the electoral commissions received incorrectly printed ballots, making it effectively impossible to vote for two commissions. The matter will be handled by the National Electoral Office.
Several editorial offices, including ours, received a photo of a wrongly printed ballot paper in the elections to the Mazovia Assembly in Constituency No. 1 (districts of the capital Warsaw: Mokotów, Ochota, Śródmieście, Ursynów, Wilanów). The photo shows that it has been cut off so far at the left margin that it would not be possible to vote for two committees. The voting boxes were then… on the right side of the entire map. Some committee numbers are also missing a graphic symbol (although this does not affect the validity of the vote).
We have signals that such cards are present in some committees
— our portal was alerted.
The attached card is not stamped. Therefore, such copies should not be sent to county election boards, and even more so, they should not be provided to voters.
I have spoken to the KBW, which should address this issue because such cards cannot be issued to voters
— said journalist Marcin Dobski on the X platform.
KBW explains that they always print the same number of cards as if they were 100%. attendance, so there is a reserve. If the entire batch was printed incorrectly, there is still time to reprint
– added.
The local elections will be held on Sunday from 7am to 9pm. The election silence started 24 hours before voting day and will last until the end. If none of the district election committees extend voting, the electoral lull will end at 21 on Sunday.
