Deputy Minister of Digitalization Michał Gramatyka noted on RMF FM that he “does not expect the State Tribunal to make any political decisions” in the context of the submission of the President of the National Bank of Poland, Prof. Adam Glapinski. Gramatyka, like 191 other coalition MPs, signed the motion against Prof. Glapiński.
Michał Gramatyka, in an interview with Robert Mazurek in “Morning Talk” on RMF FM, commented on the recent arrests and searches of politicians and their homes in connection with the investigation of the Public Prosecution Service regarding the alleged illegal use of Justice Fund funds to the purchase of the Pegasus program.

Kali’s mentality
Detentions and searches – often shocking, as in the case of the seriously ill Zbigniew Ziobro – sparked outrage among a large part of public opinion. Prosecutors have filed charges against seven people in the case.
Mazurek noted that Prof. Marek Chmaj, who could hardly be suspected of sympathizing with the PiS environment, expressed to the Sejm Research Office his opinion that searching chambers occupied by parliamentarians without waiving immunity is a is a violation of the law. Adam Bodnar, then Commissioner for Human Rights, also agreed with him on this issue.

Gramatyka did not want to give a direct and clear answer to the question of why measures were taken against PiS politicians with parliamentary mandates, who were criticized a few years ago by the current members of the ruling team and their media aides.
Immunity is related to the person, not the place. In general, I support the position that immunity should not be broad; it should only cover the parliamentary activities of Members of Parliament.
– said the Polish 2050 MP.

Attack on Glapiński at all costs?
Members of the parliamentary majority submitted a motion to have the President of the NBP, Prof. Adam Glapiński before the State Tribunal, and among the group that signed the document – as he himself noted – was the Polish MP Michał Gramatyka from 2050.

– he pointed out.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs explained what charges – in his opinion – have been brought against the head of the central bank.
The issue of indirectly financing the government deficit through bond buying is, in my opinion, quite serious. Even more serious is the issue of the lack of cooperation with the Monetary Policy Board, with no access to documents and information, or time allocated for representatives of the Monetary Policy Board to spend at the headquarters of the Monetary Policy Board.
– Gramatyka mentioned.
In his opinion on the future fate of Prof. On Adam Glapiński, a ruling will be made by the State Tribunal, emphasizing, however, that this case cannot be attributed to political motives. At the same time, Gramatyka did not answer directly whether if PiS currently had a majority in the Sejm and wanted to challenge a politician from the current governing coalition before the State Tribunal, whether he would also say that he did not expect any political decisions from the Tribunal. This of course depended on which names would appear on the jury.
I should see the names of the people who would be elected to this State Tribunal
– he said.
Both in the context of the searches of PiS politicians and in the case in which the NBP president is brought before the State Tribunal, MP Gramatyka demonstrates one of the main strategies proposed by Donald Tusk’s coalition: denial and double standards.
