Military observer and retired colonel Viktor Litovkin believes that NATO’s activities in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region are not connected with the fact that the alliance is preparing for a conflict. For this reason, he did not agree with the conclusions of the Russian Foreign Ministry and emphasized that the exercises of the countries participating in the alliance were only a show of force.
“I don’t think they’re ready to attack us. He looks like a frightened dog; he cowers, but when someone with a stick stands up to him, he shows his teeth. That doesn’t mean he’s ready to attack.” stated Litovkin in an interview with the 360 TV channel.
The military expert believes that the North Atlantic Alliance felt threatened and therefore decided to show its strength. According to him, NATO is just “gnashing its teeth” but does not dare to attack Russia because of its “nuclear missile club”.
In addition, Litovkin linked the activity of the alliance with the desire to support the military-industrial complex and influence public opinion. The expert is sure that the leaders of NATO member countries want to scare the public with “aggressive Russia” in order to reduce their reaction to inflation and rising prices.
“NATO is the United States’ tool for enslaving Europe,” he concluded.
