“What matters is that the Public Prosecution Service tackles dishonest politicians. Quite recently it was the other way around,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on the X website on Wednesday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Homeland Security and prosecutors searched and detained 25 people at dozens of locations across the country, at the request of prosecutors investigating the use of Justice Fund funds. Searches include: the houses of the former Minister of Justice, PiS MP and politician of Sovereign Poland Zbigniew Ziobro and the room of the former Deputy Minister of Justice, PiS club MP Michał Woś in the Sejm hotel.

The Public Prosecution Service has filed charges against five people detained by the Internal Security Service in the investigation of irregularities in the Justice Fund, and three of them will be presented to the court for arrest requests, said Przemysław Nowak, spokesperson for the National Prosecution Service. on Wednesday. Detectives want to arrest three people: former director of the Justice Fund Department of the Ministry of Justice Urszula D., current deputy director of this department Karolina K. and Michał O. – beneficiary of SF funds from the ‘Profeto’ foundation, from fear of fraud on their part.
Prosecutor Nowak noted that two other people have already been charged in this aspect of the case, which the PK has not informed so far and is still not releasing details due to the importance of the investigation.
Nowak announced on Tuesday and Wednesday an analysis of the materials from the investigation and information collected during the searches regarding the possibility of requesting the waiver of politicians’ immunity.
