PiS MPs Waldemar Buda and Zbigniew Kuźmiuk presented a sample application at a press conference in which you can ask the Prime Minister to pay the difference in fuel prices between the level declared by Donald Tusk in the election campaign (5.19 PLN per liter) and the current price ( 6.19 PLN per liter, 84 PLN).
During the election campaign, Donald Tusk stated that if he were Prime Minister, a liter of gasoline would cost PLN 5.19. On August 18, 2023, he announced that the PO election program would include “restoration of the state, simple decisions that will lower prices”. He added that he “for example has a very specific solution” that would make a liter of gasoline cost 5 PLN.
In politics, words mean as much as the authority behind them. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s see, it’s March 27 – gasoline costs PLN 6.80, it would be PLN 5.19
– Waldemar Buda said at a press conference on Wednesday.
I think that many Poles – convinced and encouraged by the commitment, which was very specific and in the nature of a public promise – voted on October 15 for fuel for PLN 5.19. There was a clear message that it was possible, that it was simple, that it had specific solutions and could work very quickly
– he pointed out.
If he has not found the promised mechanism, (…) we will help him and he will refund the difference in this situation
Bud assured.
““Moral duty”
The former Minister of Development and Technology in the PiS government added that a barrel of oil cost $80 on August 18, 2023, while the price is currently $84.
So from the perspective of raw material costs, nothing has changed
Buda said.
According to him, Donald Tusk “has a moral obligation to pay this difference (in the price of gasoline-PAP)” unless he shows the “price reduction mechanism” he talked about in the campaign.
Sample application to the Prime Minister
PiS MPs have drawn up a sample application that they say Poles could submit to the prime minister to demand payment of the difference in fuel prices. As they said, such applications can be filed based on the provisions of the Civil Code on public promises. They also announced that the application will be available on the Internet and PiS social media.
It should have been cheaper, and as usual TuskoDrożyzna is. Gasoline would cost PLN 5.19, so if you refueled at a higher price, demand the difference back! PiS MPs Waldemar Buda and Zbigniew Kuźmiuk have prepared an application that you can now complete and send to Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.
– we read in the entry on the X platform. PiS also provides the address of the website where you can download the form.
As they explained, the application must include the bank account number to which the money is to be transferred. You must also attach an invoice or a gas station bill.
PiS MPs also accused Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak of increasing the fuel allowance for 2024. From January 1, a higher fuel fee will apply, which is included in the fuel price. Under the Toll Highways Act and the National Road Fund, the fuel allowance is increased by the inflation rate.
