Vice-chairman of the Pegasus Commission of Inquiry, Tomasz Trela, stated on Radio Zet that former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro should be summoned before the Commission of Inquiry. He added that in this case the procedures of the Code of Criminal Procedure should be followed.
Vice-chairman of the Pegasus Commission, Tomasz Trela, was a guest on Radio Zet on Monday. The left-wing politician was asked whether Zbigniew Ziobro’s interrogation was still planned, even though the Sovereign Poland politician wrote on social media that he was seriously ill and posted a photo of himself from his hospital bed.
I believe that Minister Ziobro should be summoned to the Commission of Inquiry meeting, but that all procedures of the Code of Criminal Procedure should be followed. If he is really ill, and I have no reason not to believe that, he will receive a medical certificate confirmed by an expert from the court’s list of medical experts and then we will wait until he is fit to testify , but we have to start with the procedure
– said Trela.
“Ask the Bedside”
Trela added that he could not imagine a situation in which the Minister of Justice, who had been in office for eight years, in which Pegasus was bought from the Justice Fund and transferred the money, would not testify before the Commission of Inquiry. The deputy head of the committee said he understood the health situation and was not a politician who would like to ask questions at the hospital bedside.
We’ll wait until he recovers. I wish you a speedy recovery, but a call is coming
– said Trela.
Last week, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro wrote on social media:
After many months of exhausting oncological treatment, I underwent a complicated operation.
He said doctors removed most of his esophagus and part of his stomach.
Previously, politicians from Sovereign Poland informed about Ziobro’s health condition
