I don’t think it’s true to say that it was a piece of cake for Jarosław Kaczyński. All day long interrogations, the need to endure rude taunts from very primitive people, the really complicated and secret issue of the secret services, questions about cases from many years ago – all together it was a great political, legal and aesthetic challenge.

The position of the person being questioned is clearly uncomfortable, and those in power do not even hide that they are not looking for the truth. The aim is the primitive humiliation of the witness called by primitive interrogators, who is forced to do this or that out of fear.
The PiS leader also could not use the quite effective method of waiting for the hearing in the most imperceptible way during the committees of this term of the Sejm (due to the generally low number of coalition MPs delegated to these tasks).
He had to do it himself, as they sometimes say: he had to face this challenge head-on . And he did it.
He was doing well prepared Legal and government experience also played a role. He was not provoked; his interrogators lost their nerve in a compromising way. He showed a sense of humor (Zembaczyński’s famous pancakes, “Mr. Member” in response to “Please testify”) and exposed the cultural and educational shortcomings of the interrogators.
He emerged victorious from this battle politics because he has proven to remain an efficient and effective political leader.
He won in the media because it won the sympathy of the public (except the most ardent) under extremely unfavorable circumstances.
He has done it substantively That the bubble of the alleged Pegasus scandal bursts as well as visas and correspondence. Today, Donald Tusk has a problem with his lie, told in the presence of the president, about the existence of an alleged list of wiretapped people. No one has confirmed this, not even from the government.
The media of the Third Polish Republic are of course brazenly trying to falsify this image; this media lying machine is capable of anything. But those in power know what’s going on.
This is why Magdalena Srokahumiliated and ridiculed for his failure and his new anti-PiS warm-up, dreams of extra time, and announces that “the Commission will meet again with President Jarosław ‘I don’t know anymore’ Kaczyński.”
Not enough yet?
This is why Roman Giertych says a terrible line about “wiping the smile” from the opposition leader’s face.
READ MORE ABOUT IT: Contempt session in Kielce. Bodnar, Giertych and Sienkiewicz in the leading roles. “I’d like to wipe that cheeky smile off your face, Jarek.”
These are disgusting words. People with democratic power are not allowed to say this, people from regimes say this.
President Kaczyński’s triumph at the Pegasus Commission has apparently thrown the government into turmoil. Understandably, they also know what happened: we are witnessing an important breakthrough.
Moral panic before the elections caused by a cumulative campaign of the national media, fueled by enormous outside money, combined with German and Brussels blackmail, doused in a sauce of total promises that no one ever intended to keep, it is burning out before our eyes. After all, everything was based on the belief that when they, the opposition people, get the chance to interrogate Kaczyński, they will immediately prove his nefarious deeds and demonstrate the ‘criminality’ of those governments.
This dream collision has been built with great care for years. And when it finally happened, all Poles saw was the hasty nature of the accusations, the dramatic, sometimes embarrassing quality of the “democratic” investigators-prosecutors, and the class and assertiveness of the leader of the Polish right wing.
This will have political consequences. Who knows, maybe in ten months’ time, during the events of Friday, March 16, we won’t see the end of the sadness and the beginning of a great, good wave of Law and Justice .
And they probably already feel it.
