Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was denied permission for further protection from the State Protection Service, which he requested in connection with the threats he received. “I bet on the malice of the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński,” a close associate of the former prime minister told “Super Express”. In this context, it is worth recalling that Mariusz Kamiński, when he was head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, granted this protection to Donald Tusk. Threats were also the reason.
An opportunity for Russian provocation
As reported by “SE”, Mateusz Morawiecki was denied permission for further protection by the State Protection Service. As a former prime minister, he was entitled to three months of protection, which ended on March 12. He asked for it to be extended because of the threats he received.
He constantly receives death threats. Imagine how easy it would be for the Russians to carry out a provocation
– emphasized a close associate of the former Prime Minister in an interview with “SE”.
He added that he did not know “whether Prime Minister Tusk has decided on this issue.”
I would rather bet on the malice of the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, who wants to show how anti-PiS he is
– added.
Kamiński did not hesitate
The head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński, granted SOP protection to Donald Tusk in 2022, before Christmas.
Jan Grabiec then said that PO had previously provided state services with information about threats against Tusk.
Recently there was also a report from the police themselves about a specific threat related to Prime Minister Donald Tusk. I think this influenced the SOP’s decision
– Grabiec said then.

Two same situations and completely different reactions. During the United Right’s rule, no one would think of exposing the former Prime Minister to potential danger. However, the ‘December 13 coalition’ is guided by different ‘norms’. As hatred for the former ruling team grows, it sends a message that Mateusz Morawiecki is not protected. We saw, for example, what this could lead to during the last Smolensk anniversary, when former Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński was attacked.
