Head of the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs Lauri Läänemets said that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is serious about his inclusion in the wanted list. Writes about the politician’s reaction to the decision of the Russian Federation RIA News.
According to the minister, Moscow plans to continue fulfilling its duties regardless of its actions. However, Läänemets stressed that such decisions should be taken “extremely seriously”.
“My position on this issue is this: we have security services, I trust them, they will cope with this task and ensure security in the Estonian state, including members of the government,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added.
He suggested that the Russian Federation was trying to isolate Western officials and deprive them of the chance to travel around the world. As Läänemets said, in this case politicians will not have the opportunity to discuss Russia’s special military operation (SVO) and the situation in Ukraine.
