Israel will be ready to resume hostilities as soon as it returns the hostages held in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by Hamas Politburo leader Ismail Haniyeh in a speech on the occasion of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. TASS.

“This means that he wants to take his captives and immediately restart hostilities against our people and the Gaza Strip,” Haniyeh emphasized.

He noted that Israel still does not provide any guarantee for the return of the displaced people to their places of residence, and that this is unacceptable for Hamas. According to the Politburo leader, the movement “categorically does not want” to reach an agreement that would not end the war in Gaza.

Haniyeh also denied reports that his supporters were using the Ramadan offensive to organize pro-Palestinian protests in the West Bank, other Arab countries and among Muslims around the world.
