Monika Pawłowska – who took the parliamentary oath today – confirmed that she will apply for membership of the PiS club. According to Przemysław Czarnek, despite taking the oath, Pawłowska is not a member of parliament and therefore cannot be accepted. “460 deputies, and that is the number in the Sejm according to the constitution, took the oath some time ago,” the former head of MEiN noted.
Today, after the start of the Sejm session, parliamentary oath was submitted by Monika Pawłowska, who, according to Marshal Hołownia, took over the mandate after Mariusz Kamiński.
The new MP later told journalists in the Sejm that she would join the PiS club. She said she had until Friday to do that.
I want to be in the PiS club. If I am not accepted, I will be a non-enrolled member
– she emphasized.

Non-existent mandate
PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek commented on the oath of the new MP and said that Pawłowska is not an MP.
460 deputies, which is the number in the Sejm according to the constitution, took the oath some time ago
– Czarnek noticed.
According to him, “Monika Pawłowska is absolutely not a member of parliament.” As he added: “Someone who is not an MP cannot belong to the parliamentary club,” and therefore – he explained – he sees no possibility of Pawłowska being admitted to the PiS club.
In the 2023 parliamentary elections, Pawłowska ran from fourth place on the PiS list in district No. 7 (Chełm), which was opened by Mariusz Kamiński. She then took the first non-seated seat. In February – after announcing that she had taken over the mandate from Mariusz Kamiński – she informed journalists in the Sejm that she would like to join the PiS club after taking the oath.
However, in the second half of February, PiS MP Piotr Müller announced that Pawłowska would not be admitted to the PiS club. He also added that it was “highly likely” that she would be expelled from the party. As he emphasized, PiS’s position is clear; According to the party, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik are still members of parliament.
