On the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers, the President met with the residents of Mława District. He thanked them for remembering the Cursed Soldiers.
For decades, the communists did everything they could to make Poland and the Poles forget about them, to bury their bodies, everything that was left after their struggle, underground in nameless places, without graves. But they behaved, they behaved in their minds, and most of all they behaved in their hearts. They are remembered by their loved ones and neighbors. They are preserved in the memory of those to whom they gave hope of freedom, those to whom they gave hope that a true, free, sovereign and independent Poland would return.
– emphasized the president.
He noted that thanks to the “heroism and fortitude, and in most cases death, dramatic, often in suffering” of the Cursed Soldiers, “subsequent generations carried this testimony, this belief in the need to continue, and that subsequent generations regained this Poland. , today it’s ours.”
I thank you with all my heart for remembering them in this Poland, here in Mława
– added.
As he said: “This country, in a special way on the scale of the Republic of Poland, is sanctified by this heroism, sanctified by these families who have been giving birth here for generations to heroes of the homeland, who are ready to die for it. ”
I thank you very much for this, all generations of this country. Thank you very much for this
– said the president.

““No more Russian mir here”
No more Russian order here, no more Russian peace. We do not want. We have our culture, our faith, said President Andrzej Duda. As he emphasized, while drawing conclusions from the difficult history, we seek to strengthen the security of the Republic of Poland.
Nowadays we also see the threat increasing. Today our neighbors have been brutally attacked again by the Russians, it doesn’t matter – Soviet or Tsarist. We know that everyone is the same, they have been the same for hundreds of years. Great Russiaism, imperialism and oppression of other nations, their subordination, use of slave labor, murder, deportation to the East, destruction of families, kidnapping of children. Today Ukraine knows all this
– said Andrzej Duda.
He also addressed the gathered residents of Mława, saying: “You also see those who come from Ukraine desperately, looking for an opportunity for themselves.”
They had to leave everything they had there. Of course, among those who came there are also very rich people, many times richer than us, but most of them are modest, ordinary people, hardworking, who have lost all their life’s work.
– noted the President.
Fortunately, we are trying to draw conclusions from our also very difficult history and therefore we are trying to strengthen the Republic of Poland, its security and safety.
– Duda emphasized.
The president pointed out that “we spend a lot of money on defense.”
As president, I would like to spend it on education, culture and science, but where will our education, science and culture be if Russia will be there again, as it was from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 18th century ? the 20th century. Just as the boot of a foreign soldier stood here, just as she ruled this country for another forty years after 1945
– he pointed out.
No more Russian orders here, no more Russian peace here. We do not want. We have our culture, our faith
– emphasized President Duda.
President: We want Poland to be governed fairly
We want Poland to be fairly represented and governed fairly, President Andrzej Duda emphasized. According to him, some people who made various mistakes and collaborated with communists should not represent Polish interests.
The president emphasized that if the country is governed fairly, it can develop and attract capital.
Duda emphasized that “we also want Poland to be fairly represented and fairly governed.”
I know: we have a difficult history, families are different. Some people made different mistakes, sometimes out of conviction, sometimes out of fear, sometimes out of opportunism, sometimes out of conformity. They decided to collaborate with the communists, with those Soviet henchmen who came here with the Red Army and took over our country.
– he pointed out.
The President emphasized that he had nothing against them contributing to the prosperity of the homeland and working with all others for its development.
But I am not in favor of them representing Poland, I am not in favor of them representing Polish interests
– he pointed out.
If anyone in your family has a history of torturers who tormented Poles, patriots who took part in the attacks on Poland, who took part in the killings by the NKVD, who wanted us to build a communist system under the protection of the Soviets, let him to work. calmly, but not imposing himself on the poster, because there is no place for that in free Poland, that is my opinion
– said Andrzej Duda.
He emphasized that it was on Mława land that the peasants lived whose farms were taken by the communists because they helped steadfast soldiers. He thanked everyone who still remembers and honors the heroes today.
Earlier on Friday, the president laid a wreath in Mława in front of a monument commemorating those who fought in various formations of the anti-communist independence underground since the second half of the 1940s. The ceremony took place on the occasion of the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers.
