“Can you remember a situation in which the public prosecutor conducting proceedings in a case that is the subject of the committee’s investigation is also a witness before such a committee? – asked Prof. at a press conference in the Sejm. Przemysław Czarnek, PiS MP and member of the Parliamentary Post-Election Investigative Committee.
Postal Elections Investigative Committee – at the request of Prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek – eliminated Michał Wójcik of today’s committee meeting. In protest against this decision, other PiS MPs who were on the committee left the meeting together with MP Wójcik.
Wrzosek, in justifying the application, emphasized that in January 2021, Wójcik had repeatedly expressed his approval in his public and media statements on issues related to criminal delegations of prosecutors, the decision of which was made by then National Prosecutor Bogdan Święczkowski.
This situation was raised at a press conference by a member of the parliamentary investigation committee for the post-elections, Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, PiS MP.
We would like to remind you of a certain technological sequence, as the prosecutor calls it. Well, the four of us, including previously Mr Jabłoński, agree with all the witnesses of this committee. We raise our hands in favor of hearing all the witnesses this committee wishes to hear, because we have nothing to hide in this matter.
– he said.

Double standards
The MP noted that, contrary to the approach of Law and Justice politicians, members of the parliamentary majority deliberately do not call Civic Platform activists to testify before the committee.
That side does not agree with the hearing before the committee of Trzaskowski, Ms. Marshal Kidawa-Błońska and Mr. Budka, who officially said that they blocked the postal elections. Why don’t they listen to them? The matter is clear: they are responsible for blocking the elections
– noted Przemysław Czarnek.
The former head of MEiN also drew attention to the strangeness of calling prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek as a witness. Czarnek noted that Ewa Wrzosek is – in his opinion – a politician and not a prosecutor.
The question is why Ms. Wrzosek is a witness before this committee. Can you remember a situation in which the public prosecutor conducting proceedings in a case that is the subject of the committee’s investigation is also a witness before such a committee? This in itself is bizarre. The question to Ms. Wrzosek is as follows: does she have the consent of the prosecutor’s superior to disclose the confidentiality of the proceedings, which is necessary in accordance with the law? Ms. Wrzosek is a politician, not a prosecutor
– he assessed.
