Poles do not want the border with Russia and Belarus to be dug up, according to a study commissioned by Rzeczpospolita. The newspaper recalls that the authorities of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are considering such a step.
In a survey by IBRiS for “Rz”, 28.3% of respondents were in favor of Poland building minefields along the border with Russia and Belarus. Among respondents, 54% took the opposite view. and 17.7 percent had no opinion.
The opponents of mining on the border are dominated by people who hold positions close to the center and voted for the Third Way in the last parliamentary elections.
