European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at the Munich Security Conference that the EC was using revenues from frozen Russian assets to produce weapons for Ukraine. This was reported by TASS.
He also noted that the EU’s 13th sanctions package against the Russian Federation will aim to overcome sanctions using third countries.
“We follow which countries our sanctions have been exceeded, we have a tough meeting with these countries, we impose sanctions on their companies, and we will specifically target this with the 13th sanctions package,” he said.
The day before Ursula von der Leyen in the name European countries are spending more on defense, revitalizing Europe’s defense industry and increasing production.
