The terms “meanness” and “breaking the law”, the promise of a ban on working for TVP for some journalists, and finally the announcement of the creation of a new media order – Colonel Sienkiewicz continues his indictment of the public media.
Sienkiewicz’s dangerous announcements
We are in a transition situation. The previous system, as one might briefly say, collapsed under the weight of its own vileness. And the moment when, on the one hand, the predecessors actually broke the law when it comes to the management system of public media, not to mention the practice of using them, which was indeed despicable, but the moment when a new media order was created in Poland is a moment of transition
– said Sienkiewicz.

He also threatened that some journalists would definitely not return to TVP.
One thing is certain: the people who created and managed Nowogrodzka’s TVP will not return to this television. We will wait for the decisions and the right place for this decision and the building of a new media order is the Polish Parliament – the Sejm and the Senate
– said Sienkiewicz.
Sienkiewicz is bothered by President Duda
I am convinced that the most appropriate solution is to appoint an extraordinary parliamentary committee for media management, and it is in my interest that this committee starts as soon as possible. Not only in my interest, but also in the interest of Polish citizens. Of course there are certain limits here; we are aware that as long as President Duda is in office, the final outcome of this work may be met with his veto.
– he said.
During the conference, Sienkiewicz also attacked Telewizja Republika.
Recently, there has been some controversy surrounding the participation of the Ministry of Telewizja Republika in conferences. I would like to clarify an issue. Telewizja Republika – at a time when PiS parliamentarians and the former authorities of Telewizja Publiczna forcibly occupied Telewizja Publiczna buildings, Telewizja Republika used – illegally – the equipment, buildings, studios and trademarks of Telewizja Publiczna. Preliminary claims have been filed in this case. And what can I say, until I am sure that this institution is a journalistic institution and not an institution of thieves, I see no reason to invite these representatives to my conferences.
– said Sienkiewicz.
