For several days now, we have been reporting on the preparations for the European offensive of Law and Justice, which includes the internal regrouping and dynamization of the activities of PiS parliamentarians in the European Parliament, as well as the establishment of broad relations with the European right.
As we announced, Dominik Tarczyński, Member of the European Parliament, will become the new Head of the Delegation for Law and Justice in the European Parliament. The current head, the world-renowned Prof. Ryszard Legutko, remains co-chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists faction. On the other hand Jacek Saryusz-Wolski will stand as a candidate for head of the European Commission after the June elections.
There is also a change in the position of the Secretary General of the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists in the European Parliament – here Gabriel Beszłej will be replaced Andrzej Sados Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the European Union from 2018 to 2023.
Today our information has been confirmed. The President of Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński, signed and handed over an important document to the Members of the European Parliament. He appointed a MEP there Dominik Tarczynski chairman of the PiS delegation in the European Parliament (ECR group) and three vice-presidents: Ryszard Czarnecki, Karol Karski and Patryk Jaki.
Reasons for changes?
Our interlocutors indicate three.
Firstthe need to make activities more dynamic, to look for new forms, to open up to the communities that are standing up in Europe against the illegal, ideological, economically harmful and centralizing actions of Brussels.
second, a plan to support Donald Trump in the presidential elections and build contacts with this candidate. An important context is the actual support for Tusk’s lawlessness in Poland by the current ambassador, Marek Brzeziński, who, by entering politics so unilaterally, is also stepping out of his role in a way that is unprecedented in diplomacy. It is in the American field that Tarczyński, who knows the US very well, will have a special role.
Thirdlythe need to actively inform the world about the lawlessness committed in Poland by the so-called ‘democratic, liberal’ opposition.
