Another unusual event took place in the Sejm. The rapporteur of the draft amendments to the law spoke in a room in which no one from the Sejm Presidium was present and spoke into a muted microphone.
Krzysztof Kasprzak from the “Stop LGBT” committee spoke in the Sejm. His statement is said to relate to changes in the Assembly Act. When it turned out that his statement contained content that concerned more than just changes in the law, Szymon Hołownia pointed it out to him.
Hołownia interrupted Kasprzak’s statement several times. Ultimately, he decided to take his vote away:
Thank you very much, please leave the stage. You said you wouldn’t debate LGBT communities because they are guilty of all these crimes, and I still haven’t figured out what you want to change in the Assemblies Act. (…) You stubbornly want to circumvent our agreements
– he said.
Hołownia’s decision
When Kasprzak continued to protest, the chairman of the Sejm said:
Thank you very much, I’m taking away your vote, please leave the stage. I know you really wanted martyrdom, but I won’t give you a chance. (…) The gentleman of this stage spread propaganda and insinuations that hurt the feelings of many citizens of the Republic of Poland.
The situation ended in a strange way. Only Kasprzak and two Konfederacja MPs remained in the Sejm hall, who recorded his speech read into a muted microphone.
