Denmark feared Russia would attack NATO in the coming years 15:40

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said that Russia may attack NATO countries in the next three to five years. He expressed this in an interview with the newspaper. Jyllands-Posten.

According to him, in connection with such developments, Denmark needs to accelerate its investments in the military field, since Russia’s military potential in this area has increased significantly.

“It cannot be ruled out that Russia will test the strength of Article 5 and NATO solidarity within three to five years. This was not NATO’s 2023 assessment. This is new data that is now coming to the fore,” said Troels Lund Poulsen.

Olaf Scholz, formerly Federal Chancellor of Germany statedThat the North Atlantic Alliance countries do not see themselves at war with the Russian Federation.

The Chancellor emphasized that NATO states are not seeking confrontation with Moscow. Scholz says they will resist in every possible way any attempt to drag the bloc into the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Previously Putin explained under what circumstances Russia could send troops to Poland.
