Lawyer Tomasz Sójka became one of the newly appointed members of Orlen’s supervisory board. In the past he helped create structures… Szymon Hołownia’s Poland 2050.
As Onet noted, Sójka was associated with the law firm SMM, which issued an opinion on the merger of Orlen with Lotos, which is currently being criticized by the current authorities. Most interesting, however, is Prof. Sójka’s relationship with Poland in 2050. He met Szymon Hołownia years ago, when the current chairman of the Sejm was in the novitiate with the Dominicans in Poznań, and Sójka was involved in pastoral work as a layman at the time . How does Sójka himself explain his connections with Poland 2050?
I am not and am not a member of the Polska 2050 party or a member of the Polska 2050 Association. However, since 2020 I have been involved in organizing a widely understood social movement founded by Szymon Hołownia, and in 2021 I was the coordinator of the organization of future structures of the Polska 2050 party, which, however, I did not join and withdrew from political life
– emphasized Prof. Tomasz Sójka in a response to Onet. The portal also asked Orlen and the Ministry of State Assets who had recommended Sójka to Orlen’s supervisory board, but by the time the text was written, Onet had not received a response.
Donald Tusk’s coalition talked a lot about professionalization, impartiality and the removal of ‘fat cats’ from the companies of the Ministry of Finance. However, subsequent nominations for SP companies under the new government increasingly seem to show that these were all just words.
