Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński appeared in front of the Sejm building around 9am. In front of the pass office, the deputies were stopped by the police and the Marshal’s Guard. When we managed to get through the blockade, it turned out that the gate of the Sejm building… was closed!
MP Marcin Przydacz said that the Marshal’s Guard informed him that Marshal Hołownia had closed all entrances and that he could not leave the Sejm building.
Hołownia is afraid of two MPs? What are these security measures? It had to be a friendly, open and smiling Parliament! This is a big fraud. I came to work as a Member of Parliament. Hołownia lied to everyone. They are afraid. It is fear of the truth
– emphasizes MP Maciej Wąsik.
Today the Sejm begins a three-day session. The MPs will deal with, among other things: the government’s draft amendment to the law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of this country. The changes result from the decision of the EU Council extending temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees until March 4, 2025. The project includes: extending the legal stay of Ukrainian war refugees until June 30 this year. According to the current provisions of the law, the residence of Ukrainian citizens is legal if they arrived in Poland in the period from February 24, 2022 to March 4, 2024.
