First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN) Dmitry Polyansky said that the Russian side requested an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council regarding the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Lisichansk. He wrote this in his book telegram channel.
“Taking into account the already agreed upon work schedule of the Security Council, we expect it to be scheduled for February 6 at 15:00 New York time (23:00 Moscow time),” Polyansky wrote.
Before that, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned Attack of Ukrainian troops on Lisichansk. The letter also states that all such attacks are unacceptable and must be stopped as soon as possible.
Ukrainian Army applied On February 3, at 14:20, there was a strike at a bakery in Lisichansk. The regional military command stated that there could be a maximum of 40 people under the rubble of the collapsed building. There are 28 known deaths, including the head of the LPR Ministry of Emergencies and two local deputies.
