“We all know Warsaw’s advertising slogan: Fall in love with Warsaw. We don’t need to be convinced. We fell in love with Warsaw a long time ago, right? – said Dr. Tobiasz Bocheński, PiS candidate for the presidency of the capital, to the people gathered at the PiS convention in Warsaw’s Praga Północ district.
PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński announced today that the candidate for the presidency of Warsaw Dr. Tobiasz Bocheński, former Voivode of Mazovia, will be.
It’s very nice to see you all. After these words from Prime Minister Kaczyński, I am a little intimidated and even more stressed than when I came here
– said the candidate, starting his speech.
Warsaw – this word has many meanings. The victorious city. The promised land for thousands of Poles. Object of envy. This is a unique place where Poles came to find a better future, fulfill their dreams, work and fall in love. It is the capital of our beautiful country
– he said.
We are all here together today because we believe that Warsaw’s future will be filled with success and hope. We are all here because we want it to become a better, more comfortable and modern place every year
– emphasized Bocheński.
We are at ul. Saint Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, is not by chance, because we want to extinguish disputes and quarrels and collect positive energy. We want the future to be characterized by success and prosperity, and not by hatred and quarrels
– pointed out the politician.
““Warsaw of our dreams”
We all know Warsaw’s advertising slogan: Fall in love with Warsaw. We don’t need to be convinced. We fell in love with Warsaw a long time ago, right?
– said Dr. Tobiasz Bocheński to the people gathered at the convention.
The Warsaw of our dreams, the Warsaw of our visions, is a rebellious city, a city of freedom. Entrepreneurs and brave Poles who can build great Polish companies and great start-ups
– he continued.
Warsaw must follow a course of development and prosperity. This is our great challenge for the future
– he said.
And we live in difficult and dangerous times
– notes the candidate for mayor of Warsaw, pointing out the crises and challenges we have recently faced, and the politics that have “inflamed”.
Our vision of Warsaw is not about disputes, hatred and quarrels. It is optimism, participation, cooperation, dialogue and dynamism
– assured Bocheński.
“We all pay for Rafał Trzaskowski’s mistakes”
The former Voivode of Mazovia recalled that in recent months he had many conversations with voters from different parties: PiS, KO, Left, Confederation, Poland 2050 and other groups.
I know we differ on many issues, but I invite you all to work together for the benefit of Warsaw. It doesn’t matter who voted for who in the election. I realize that many of you had high expectations for Rafał Trzaskowski’s presidency. And now you are disappointed and disappointed
– said Dr. Bochenski.
The current president’s Warsaw is a city that is developing beyond its own capabilities. It is a city of slowness, inertia and chaos. It is a city that is deaf to the voices of its inhabitants and that is reluctant and hostile to local referenda or public consultations
– he emphasized.
The Mayor of Warsaw is responsible for many issues that are important to each of us. It is not that poorly planned renovations, the felling of trees in our neighborhood or the architectural, urban and aesthetic chaos of the city are the work of anonymous officials. These are all the duties and responsibilities of the city manager
– said the PiS candidate in the local government elections.
We all pay for his mistakes, shortcomings, absences and controversial decisions in different ways every day. Fighting for a place at daycare, standing in unbearably long traffic jams, watching children go to school in multiple shifts. Looking out the window and seeing trees being cut down or a square being closed off. I can’t wait until the playground is built or the sidewalk is renovated. Can’t find a parking space in front of your house. And in thousands of other ways, each of us pays every day for the shortcomings, absences and mistakes of President Rafał Trzaskowski
– Tobiasz Bocheński scored.
Warsaw needs a host who will devote all his time and energy to it so that it develops dynamically
– argued the politician.
The role of the mayor
We are well aware that Rafał Trzaskowski is excellent at national political arguments, but worse at meetings with residents of districts of Warsaw. The mayor’s role is to do everything he can every day to make the city better, more modern, greener and more resident-friendly. This is his mission: not to stand on tiptoe and look through the window at what is happening in the Sejm or the Presidential Palace.
– Bocheński continued.
A local government official, especially the mayor of Warsaw, must be close to residents, listen to their voices and consult with them on the direction of the city’s development. Many residents of the capital told me that the city council is deaf to their voices
– paid attention.
Unfortunately, Rafał Trzaskowski has been constantly present at political meetings and party committees over the past five years. It is clear that this mayor is more comfortable with political rallies than with revitalizing the streets, squares or residential buildings of Warsaw. This must change. It’s time we get this incorrect policy out of City Hall. Let’s start working for the common good. Politics should be where it belongs: in Wiejska, Krakowskie Przedmieście and Aleje Ujazdowskie
– added.
After all, many of us dream of neutral places where Poles can build a better future hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder. Let’s start with Warsaw. Should the mayor of the capital, Rafał Trzaskowski, obsessively pronounce ‘PiS’ in all his statements? In these statements there is too little concern about the availability of daycare centers, about the prices of waste collection, about the availability of apartments, and there are too many stories like “PiS is bad, PiS has very sharp canines”
– emphasized Dr. Bochenski.
Are there really not enough party helpers for the president of the capital to engage in this kind of rhetoric and activities? It’s really incomprehensible. That is why we must all work together to ensure that Warsaw regains the status of local government capital of Poland. We must make City Hall a workplace for the common good of all residents of Warsaw
– added the PiS candidate for the presidency of the capital.
