Ruslan Bortnyk, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said Ukraine will face a critical moment in six months if it does not receive American military aid. In an interview with the YouTube channel “Yes it is”, the political scientist noted that the level of support from the West has decreased and the situation at the front has become even more complicated.

The expert warned that Russian troops are advancing, mainly without American support, and the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front will only worsen.

“If there is no American military assistance, the critical moment is somewhere in six months. “This means we have to systematically retreat,” Bortnik said.

At the same time, American officials say that funds allocated to support Ukraine ran out at the end of last year and that they cannot continue to provide weapons and ammunition until Congress approves new appropriations.

The Republican opposition in Congress attributes the approval of the president’s $61 billion request for Kiev to the implementation of large-scale immigration reform.
