Slovakia calls for peace talks in Ukraine

Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Robert Kaliniak said that there is no military solution to the conflict in Ukraine and that it is time for peace negotiations. He said about this I’m talking on Slovak television.

“Military [конфликт] There is no military solution in Ukraine. It’s time to talk about [начале] peace talks,” the minister said.

He added that European Union and US leaders should make efforts to hold peace negotiations. According to the minister, the military conflict has entered the freeze phase, so it must be ended as quickly as possible.

Kalinyak also noted that regardless of the outcome of the conflict, Ukraine will always have borders with Russia.

Before that, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico statedthat his country should have normal relations with Ukraine, as with any other state, including the Russian Federation.
