Politicians present on Polsat News discussed the exchange of insults between the Prime Minister and the President, which was initiated by Donald Tusk, referring to the CNN article.
Both the head of government and the head of state sent foreign language sentences to each other on social media.

Platform story
PO Deputy Minister of State Assets Robert Kropiwnicki fully supported Donald Tusk’s story about the “determination to restore the rule of law in Poland.” The politician noted that the current Polish government would bring our country closer to the standards of Western European civilization.
We moved away from the norms of Western European democracy and the rule of law was destroyed. We are moving towards the restoration of order and the rule of law in Poland, as understood by Western European civilization
– said the deputy head of the Ministry of State Assets.
When asked by presenter Śniadanie Rymanowski about the efforts the PO leader is willing to make to restore the rule of law, Kropiwnicki evasively replied that it was about compliance with constitutional provisions and the independence of the judiciary.
The Platform MP also sees nothing wrong with the form that Donald Tusk chose when he publicly addressed the President of the Republic of Poland.
Everyone reads the way he or she wants. I read it correctly: Donald Tusk emphasized his determination
– he assessed.
Rule of law like Radio Yerevan
Minister of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Wojciech Kolarski, criticized the state of the rule of law in Poland since the Civic Platform took over the helm of government in the country. He used the example of the once famous Radio Yerevan, which became the butt of jokes.
Remember, there were jokes like that. Radio Yerevan reported that in Moscow they were giving away cars, and then it turned out that they were not giving them away, but that they were stealing, and not cars, but bicycles.
– Kolarski remembered an anecdote.
The presidential minister noted that before the elections, the Civic Coalition was full of statements about the rule of law, the restoration of democracy and constitutional governance, and when it actually came to power after the October elections, it turned out that it actually met these standards it was abolished. in the same way as Poland’s main infrastructure investments.
Wojciech Kolarski was also highly critical of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s malice towards President Andrzej Duda.
I look with dejection that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland is insulting the President in such a pathetic way, thus signaling to his camp that he should be treated this way: with ridicule, ridicule.
– emphasized the minister.
Kolarski was clearly disappointed with the attitude of the head of government and regretted that the hand extended by the president to the new government cabinet was so unceremoniously rejected. According to him, this is an announcement of a massive attack by the parliamentary coalition and friendly groups on President Andrzej Duda. Kolarski even called it the “contempt industry 2.0”, referring to cohabitation during Lech Kaczyński’s presidency.
Minister Kolarski assessed the fact that when President Duda convened the National Security Council in Belweder, at the same time the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz “forcibly introduced his employees into the public media, thus violating the law.”
Verbal fights
Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, deputy head of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, MP of the New Left, also spoke about the political crisis. She expressed her willingness to participate in talks that would reduce political tensions in Poland.
We are open to sitting at the table and talking. We look at the situation differently, but must always look for the light at the end of the tunnel
– stated the New Left MP.
Scheuring-Wielgus said she personally is not in favor of the “political fights” that often occur among politicians who use social media. The Deputy Minister of Culture did not dare to criticize Prime Minister Tusk for his words about the president, but was surprised that the president responded to the head of government.
I’m surprised the president got involved in this. And did he have to answer (Tusk)? That wasn’t necessary, she said.
Apparently, the left-wing MP sees the blame in this whole matter as lying solely with the President’s Chancellery, as she believes that President Duda’s ministers should not be involved in the exchange of views between the Prime Minister and the President. Scheuring-Wielgus apparently did not notice that it was Tusk who began to provoke the President of the Republic of Poland and criticized the response of the President’s Office.
Language skills are ridiculed. I never criticize anyone (for this), why? These are not our native languages. We can make fun of someone who says something wrong in Polish, but I’m far from that here
– she noted.
The three complexes of Tusk
The representative of Law and Justice, MP Zbigniew Bogucki, expressed his dissatisfaction with the changes introduced in Poland by the government of Donald Tusk. He called these actions “dismantling the constitution and the laws” and assured that his party would continuously monitor the new government.
The politician from the largest party in the Sejm said that President Duda should not respond to Prime Minister Tusk’s challenging online post, but that the Prime Minister himself should never dare to make such a gesture. He called the platform leader’s statements ‘pathetic comments’.
It reminds me of the situation on the savannah. There is a large predator and smaller predators are trying to nibble it. But that’s just a comparison
– suggested Zbigniew Bogucki.
According to him, Prime Minister Donald Tusk is particularly sensitive to three basic complexes that guide his actions and statements. The first of them is the president, because Donald Tusk cannot survive if he loses the presidency to Lech Kaczyński in 2005. The second is the fear of getting “into the electoral fray” with Andrzej Duda during the 2020 presidential elections. According to Bogucki, Tusk’s last major complex is the issue of what is written about him abroad.
Zbigniew Bogucki also briefly commented on President Duda’s response to Prime Minister Tusk.
The Prime Minister understands German perfectly. I’m afraid he sometimes thinks in this language (…). He subordinated the party, broke the backs of coalition partners and became president
– he emphasized.
Public image
Trzecia Droga MP Michał Kobosko and confederation representative Przemysław Wipler also commented on the controversial altercation between the head of government and the President of the Republic of Poland.
Kobosko negatively assessed President Andrzej Duda’s reaction to Donald Tusk’s entry, noting that the president – in his opinion – is not improving his image in the international arena.
The president’s term is coming to an end. I don’t know what Andrzej Duda wants to leave or do in the future, in his professional life. Today it is not building authority in international institutions
– said Michał Kobosko.
The 2050 Polish politician also defended Prime Minister Tusk, of course, saying: “Mr Donald Tusk has intensively studied the language in Brussels and the results are visible.”
Przemysław Wipler, in turn, believed that President Duda should pay more attention to the way he creates his public image, especially in modern social media.
Andrzej Duda must take care of the image he builds on social media
– he confessed.
It is difficult to believe that anyone would even want to attack the head of the Polish state in such a base, thoughtless manner. Unfortunately, despite the passage of time, it seems that the style of coexistence between Donald Tusk and the late Lech Kaczyński is returning to the beaten track.
