The Republic of Poland can always count on you, said the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda to members of NSZZ “Solidarity”. He said he would meet with representatives of Solidarity of Individual Farmers on Monday, and with the National Committee of NSZZ “Solidarity” on Tuesday.
On Friday, the President took part in the 15th edition of the Beer Inn of the Małopolska Region of NSZZ “Solidarność”, organized in the Wieliczka Salt Mine (Lesser Poland Voivodeship).
During the meeting, Andrzej Duda noted that the new reality is not always easy. He expressed the hope that members of the new government would receive their appointment as members of the Council for Social Dialogue.
It is a project that has been underway for years. I hope the fact that they refused and didn’t come last time was just an accident at work. Good dialogue is important for the future of our country
– he said.
“Together we performed tasks for the Republic of Poland”
He thanked the invitation to the beer tavern and noted that the Wieliczka mine reminds him of the beginning of his political activities, and that his presidential service is coming to an end. He has 18 months left of his term.
I would like to thank you very much for all these years. I feel that together we performed tasks for the Republic of Poland
– said the President and mentioned, among other things: seniority pensions, Sundays off.
“Solidarity has its finger on the pulse, and I support Solidarity. The Republic of Poland can always count on you
– said Andrzej Duda.
As he recalled, President Lech Kaczyński once told him not to believe anyone who says that unions want to destroy workplaces and companies in Poland, because a union will always work for the workers, so that they earn as much as possible.
It is always worth listening to representatives of serious trade unions, especially “Solidarity” – when they talk about the situation in the economy, social and social issues and workers’ rights.
– emphasized the president.
