“According to Adam Bodnar, the dignity of the prosecutors who provided Belarus with Ales Bialiatsky’s data has been violated! Now they must return to the PK,” Sebastian Kaleta, a member of parliament from Sovereign Poland, wrote on Platform The Ministry of Justice announced that PG “restores the dignity” of the prosecutors demoted by Minister Zbigniew Ziobro. These include: Krzysztof Karsznicki and Anna Adamiak, dismissed in 2011 in connection with the case of providing data of Belarusian oppositionists to Minsk!

The Attorney General has taken the first step towards restoring the dignity of the prosecutors of the former Public Prosecutor’s Office, who were demoted to the lowest level units by Zbigniew Ziobro in 2016.
– the Ministry of Justice announced today in a message on the X platform.
To whom does Bodnar ‘restore dignity’?
The names of the prosecutors who will return to the National Public Prosecutor’s Office on the basis of this decision were also mentioned. Two in particular raise certain doubts, as pointed out by Sebastian Kaleta, a Member of Parliament from Sovereign Poland.
We are talking about Prosecutor Krzysztof Karsznicki and Prosecutor Anna Adamiak. In March 2023, then Minister of Justice and Attorney General Zbigniew Ziobro recalled the 2011 case of Belarusian oppositionist Ales Byalyatsky. The Polish politician then referred to the verdict of the Lukashenko regime, which sentenced Byalyatsky to 10 years in prison .
Ziobro recalled in a March 2023 statement that the Polish Public Prosecutor’s Office provided Belarus in 2011 – in response to the country’s authorities’ request for legal assistance – the history of the opposition’s bank accounts. This evidence, as the politician noted, “could have been the basis for the subsequent repression against the Belarusian oppositionist and his arrest by the Belarusian investigative authorities in early August 2011 and his conviction for alleged tax crimes.”
As a result of the transfer of opposition material to the Belarusian regime, prosecutor Krzysztof Karsznicki, director of the department dealing with international cooperation, and his deputy lost their positions at the then Public Prosecutor’s Office. Disciplinary proceedings were initiated against public prosecutor Anna Adamiak, who dealt with the case directly at the Attorney General’s Office, which ended initially with the cessation of the act due to the negligible social damage, and secondly with an acquittal on June 15, 2016. The Attorney General considers this decision unjust
– reminded the then Minister of Justice.
Newsweek also wrote about the case in 2011. In an interview with the weekly, Andrzej Seremet, the then Attorney General, expressed his regret and described the prosecutor’s office’s attitude not as “ill will”, but as a “reprehensible mistake”.

“Lukashenko likes this!”
Restore dignity?! According to Adam Bodnar, the dignity of the prosecutors who provided Belarus with Ales Bialiatsky’s data has been violated! Now they have to return to PK. Lukashenko likes this!
— said former State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice on the X platform.
I wonder what coalition voters will think of this on December 13? After all, they are so disgusted with Putin and Lukashenko that after February 24, 2022 they began to persistently associate them with PiS (which did not stop them from shouting ten years earlier that Law and Justice cannot come to power because Jarosław Kaczyński is a ‘Russophobe’ and will still unleash a war with Russia, and in 2021 and 2022 they will repeat the Belarusian propaganda about the situation on the border (most of them noticed only in February 2022 that Russia and Belarus are a real threat) If such a situation had arisen during the United Right government, we would probably have a new investigative committee today, and Tomasz Piątek or some other “expert” on “Russian agents” in PiS would comment on the neoTVP on the case.
