Voting hours for presidential elections in Russia may vary in other countries. This was stated by Pavel Andreev, a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation, at a meeting of the commission. RIA News.
Andreev said that the start and end times of the voting, as well as its duration, can be changed by the decision of the head of the diplomatic mission or consular office.
He emphasized that this could happen if the vote poses a threat to the life or health of Russian citizens.
He noted that this decision will immediately be brought to the attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Election Commission and the GEM for elections abroad. According to him, the authorities of some countries refuse to confirm that the necessary security conditions for polling places and voters are ensured, and the distribution methods of ballot papers, special signs and stamps are also complicated.
