Adam Bysiek, a journalist from the portal Innpoland.pl, wrote in an accusatory tone that Law and Justice MP Paweł Jabłoński wears a luxurious, expensive Omega watch worth PLN 45,000. PLN, which he did not mention in his asset declaration. The person concerned responded to the accusations on social media and stated that the information provided was a lie. Paweł Jabłoński also claims damages for the violation of his personal rights.
MP Jabłoński responded to these accusations on social media and assured that the information provided by the journalist was false.
““Very serious slander”
Dear Mr. Adam Bysiek, you have just made a very serious mistake. Perhaps the most serious in your ‘journalism’ yet. You accused me of not including an Omega watch worth PLN 45,000 in my assets declaration. zloty. You also wrote that you hoped I would be arrested for this. This is a very serious slander: you accused me of a CRIME punishable by up to eight years in prison. Let there be no doubt: your accusations are a disgusting LIE. I don’t have such a watch and never have
– wrote Paweł Jabłoński.
Then the politician corrected the reports about his watch, informing that his brand is not Omega, but Japanese Orient, which he bought a few years ago for $ 120, or less than 600 PLN.
The item visible in the photo is the Ray II model from the Japanese brand Orient. I bought it a few years ago for about 120 euros. Not $120,000 or $45,000 – $120. Less than PLN 600. A serious mistake – will you admit it, Mr. Bysiek?
– Jabłoński noticed.
Unfortunately… your lies have spread very widely. This is currently the second piece of information on the @InnPoland website, which is being widely circulated on social media. I also get a lot of hateful comments citing your slander. Everything is constantly documented. As you can see, the matter is really serious
– added the PiS-MP.
The former deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on platform
Mr. Bysiek, you have committed criminal defamation and violated my personal rights, which causes very serious damage to my public image. You did not meet journalistic standards; you didn’t even try to contact me. This is also a big mistake: you would have saved yourself from serious embarrassment and other consequences that now await you. To protect my personal rights, I am forced to take legal action against you. Unless you repair the damage and remove the consequences of violating my personal rights
– added.
An amicable proposal
Paweł Jabłoński proposed a rather original solution to the journalist of the Innpoland.pl portal.
Mr. Bysiek, here is my proposal: since you valued my watch at PLN 45,000, PLN, I will sell it to you for that amount – and you will politely apologize to me and we will forget the matter. Come on… I’ll even give you a 50% discount. 22.5 thousand zlotys. And I will allocate this amount to an important social cause – we will think about it later. So, Mr. Bysiek, how do you provide the transfer details?
– suggested the politician.
The PiS politician also decided to jokingly refer to information about his watch on social media. He even posted a photo of a kind of ‘corpus delicti’ on his forearm.
Good morning! The famous “Omega” for PLN 45,000 greets you warmly (especially Mr. @adam_bysiek) and says it’s high time to go to work. An interesting day ahead in the Sejm, inspection at @MSZ_RP, and neighborhood meetings in the afternoon. Nice day!
