“I will vote based on the club’s final decision, we have different opinions on this matter. This is agreed with the other coalition partners, including: with PSL,” said Ryszard Petru, a member of parliament from Trzecia Droga and chairman of the parliamentary committee for economy and development, in an interview with RMF FM. He admitted that he did not like the structure of the 2024 budget and the high deficit, but he would vote for it. “The lack of a budget means de facto the possibility of dissolving parliament.”
“I don’t like the high deficit.”
This is not our budget
– this is how Ryszard Petru, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Economy and Development, commented on the draft budget law for 2024 in an interview with RMF FM. However, this does not mean that the Third Way parliamentarian will vote against.
I will vote in favor because the absence of a budget effectively means the possibility of parliament being dissolved. I don’t like the budget structure, I don’t like the high deficit. I believe that what Donald Tusk’s government did, namely increasing spending on teachers and on the budget, was appropriate, because it is actually a compensation for losses due to excessive PiS inflation.
— he stressed, noting that if the same budget were presented next year, he would call for a change in its structure.
The new government had only a moment to correct the budget. The situation is very difficult
said Peter.
I will vote in favor because the absence of a budget effectively means the possibility of parliament being dissolved. I don’t like the budget structure, I don’t like the high deficit. I believe that what the government of Donald Tusk did, namely increasing spending on teachers and the budget sector, was appropriate, because it is actually a compensation for losses due to excessive PiS inflation – he said.
“Not every woman knows President Duda”
The Polish politician of 2050 also decided to comment on the legality of some state institutions, such as the Constitutional Court.
We have a number of state institutions that were created illegally and should not be treated seriously, from the Constitutional Court to Mrs. Przyłębska and the chambers created by the neo-KRS.
– said Ryszard Petru when asked about the confusion at the prosecutor’s office.
In his characteristic way, Robert Mazurek’s interlocutor also commented on the case of MPs Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik.
It seems to me that in Poland there are many situations where people are in prison and their relatives have recourse to different institutions. Not every spouse of a prisoner knows President Duda and can go to a meeting with him and ask for pardon.
-Peter noticed. Apparently he ‘missed’ the fact that not every prisoner in Poland goes to prison for fighting corruption, and therefore fighting crime.
Furthermore, it is probably safe to estimate that the vast majority of prisoners in Poland went to prison because they had committed a crime.
Moreover, President Andrzej Duda’s predecessors pardoned real criminals (see: Lech Wałęsa, who pardoned not only one of the leaders of the Pruszków Mafia – Andrzej Z. alias “Słowik”, but also another criminal from this group – Zbigniew K. pseudonym “Ali.” But these are all small, unimportant details and you don’t have to worry about them.
They have been convicted and are in prison. President Andrzej Duda could have pardoned them, but he chose a longer path. My opinion is that there is no reason to fire them, but if the president wants to pardon them, he will pardon them.
– Petru emphasized when asked about forgiving Kamiński and Wąsik.
What about Bosak?
Referring to the vote on the left’s motion to dismiss Confederation MP Krzysztof Bosak from the position of Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, and to revoke the immunity of another parliamentarian from this group, Grzegorz Braun, the RMF stated FM guest:
I will vote based on the club’s final decision, we have different opinions on this matter. This is agreed with the other coalition partners, including: with PSL.
Although Poland 2050 has not yet made a decision on the Bosak issue, PSL, which thus constitutes the Third Way, will oppose such a solution.
Personally, I would rather support the dismissal of Mr Bosak, because they cannot throw out Mr Braun after his behavior in the Sejm
– emphasized Ryszard Petru.
If Krzysztof Bosak were to actually lose his position as deputy chairman of the Sejm, the opposition would have no representative in the presidium. All because the new majority does not want to accept the candidacy of former chairman of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek.
If PiS does not want to participate in the Presidium of the Sejm, that is their decision. We do not agree with Mrs Witek, we agree with many other people
– said the interlocutor of Robert Mazurek, who accused PiS of “making themselves look like the wronged person”
You don’t have to feel sorry for PiS –
– added Petru. Indeed, you don’t have to feel sorry, but maybe you should let them choose their candidate, just like any other party has the right to do so? It should be added that PiS, as an independent party, won the most votes in the elections to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
