The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov called the slowdown of the mobilization bill in Ukraine unacceptable and announced the readiness of a corrected version. He wrote this on his page on the social network Facebook (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
“Mobilization issues that are critical for the state <…> “It is being politicized and slowed down,” the minister says.
According to Umerov, currently the issue of military registration and conscription in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is gaining critical importance for the country.
“This is unacceptable,” says the head of the defense ministry.
According to his information, the new version of the mobilization bill is now ready, taking into account all the agreed initiatives and the document is ready to be submitted for official approval in the near future.
Prior to this, the high-profile bill on new mobilization rules in Ukraine was withdrawn from consideration. The tightening of conscription standards and measures against draft evaders was met with criticism in society and in the Rada, although it was associated with the need to replenish the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
