Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said Sweden’s natural place was in NATO, a belief many in the kingdom have shared for decades. Swedish Cabinet chief announced this at national meeting conferences “People and Defense 2024”.
“Sweden’s natural place is in NATO. This is a belief that many of us have shared here for decades,” the prime minister said at Monday’s event.
According to him, “there is broad political consensus on this major paradigm shift” in the state’s foreign policy.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Sweden is ready to assume “great responsibility” in the Baltic Sea region and within the NATO governance structure.
