Szymon Hołownia has been marshal for less than two months and he has already managed to undermine the seriousness of the Sejm many times. It seems that he still does not understand his rights and obligations and what an important office he holds, as evidenced by his behavior in the presidential palace.

The expiration of the mandates of PiS politicians Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik was the main topic of President Andrzej Duda’s conversation with Sejm Chairman Szymon Hołownia at the Presidential Palace.

Let us not forget that on Wednesday, January 3, the Chamber of Labor and Social Security of the Supreme Court received appeals from Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński against the Marshal’s decision to terminate their mandate, sent by the Chairman of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia . On the morning of Thursday, January 4, the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court, regarding Wąsik’s dismissal, decided to transfer the case to the Chamber for Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court. Then – in the early afternoon – the Extraordinary Control Room of the Supreme Court revoked the decision of the President of the Sejm to terminate the mandate of MP Maciej Wąsikwhich was first reported by the wPolityce.pl portal.

The wPolityce.pl portal was also the first to report that the Chamber for Extraordinary Scrutiny and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court on Friday, January 5, annulled the decision of the President of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, regarding the expiry of the mandate of Member of Parliament Mariusz Kamiński.

After the conversation with Hołownia, President Andrzej Duda announced at a press conference that he “had no doubt that Messrs. Kamiński and Wąsik have parliamentary mandates given to them by citizens in the last elections, and that they have the right to exercise these mandates to exercise.”

I communicated this to the Marshal and at the same time suggested that in order to bring this matter to a close, to avoid unrest, to increase controversies and unnecessary worries, we must today simply recognize that this 2015 pardon was and is effective

Hołownia’s reckless behavior
