Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko appointed First Deputy Head of Department Yuri Chebotar as the country’s new Minister of Economy. This was reported by press service President of Belarus.
Lukashenko emphasized that he wanted Chebotar to take an active role in the ministry and called on him not to lie.
“I would like to see the Ministry of Economy. Frankly, I didn’t notice it very often throughout the year. You understand that I am not completely satisfied with the work of the Ministry of Economy,” the Belarusian president said.
Lukashenko expressed hope that the situation would change.
Before that Lukashenko signed A change in the law that includes some guarantees for the outgoing leader of the country.
In addition to the immunity of the president and his family, the document also includes the guaranteed allocation of state-owned real estate.
