For me it was an absolutely stupid statement, I do not agree with it and if I met Jan Pietrzak I would tell him so – this is how the head of the President’s Office, Marcin Mastalerek, commented on TV Republika on the statement by Jan Pietrzak.
Marcin Mastalerek was, among others, When asked about the statement of satirist and publicist Jan Pietrzak, who said on Telewizja Republika on Sunday:
Here I have a cruel joke with these immigrants. They count on the Poles to be prepared, because we have barracks. We have barracks for immigrants in Auschwitz, Majdanek, Treblinka, Sztutowo. We have many barracks built here by the Germans. And there we will stop these immigrants, who have been illegally forced into our territory by the Germans. The people who escape to a better world are not illegal. The authorities who let them in are illegal. So the Germans are illegal; their slogan of welcoming the newcomers was illegal, outside the treaty and against any law. This is illegal German activity. We have to be sensitive to this in the coming year, because it is starting to go to our heads and it irritates me.
CHECK THE DETAILS: Storm after Jan Pietrzak’s words. What was the full explanation? “We have to be sensitive to that in the coming year.” VIDEO
The president was outraged by Pietrzak’s words
As the head of the President’s Office emphasized, “the President did not like these words of Jan Pietrzak, he was outraged by them.” He also pointed out that “Jan Pietrzak actually said it was a cruel joke.”
It wasn’t a joke. There are topics and issues in Poland that cannot be used
– he emphasized.
To me, this was a completely stupid statement, and I don’t agree with it. If I met Jan Pietrzak, I would tell him this
– Mastalerek commented.
This was not a statement taken out of context. It was a statement divorced from the logic of reality and decency
– he emphasized.
But? The presidential minister points to Bodnar’s movement and freedom of expression
However, he emphasized that “this is what freedom of speech is all about: we don’t harass the prosecutor because Jan Pietrzak says so; “We don’t put the prosecutor on TV.” He estimated that “Mr. Adam Bodnar could come here, sit like I’m sitting here and say the same thing I do.”
He’d rather go to the prosecutor’s office
– added.
If this is how he sees freedom, then that’s his business, but we can’t agree with that
– he said.
When the Minister of Justice deals with the statement of a publicist and satirist, I begin to wonder whether he is talking about this publicist and satirist, or whether he is talking about the gigantic success of Telewizja Republika and the fact that today the television that is being watched during the day
– noted Marcin Mastalerek.
Notification to the public prosecutor’s office
