The position of government plenipotentiary for the disabled and state secretary at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy was taken by Łukasz Krasoń, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy announced on Thursday. Krasoń is a motivational speaker, activist and social activist.
The motto of the newly appointed government plenipotentiary for the disabled, Łukasz Krasoń, is:
Politics should be about dealing with people’s affairs. Her job is to make social groups, such as people with disabilities, feel important and cared for
– said the Ministry of Family.
The information on the ministry’s website shows that Łukasz Krasoń is a trainer, motivational speaker and a committed activist and social activist. He previously also worked as a sustainable development specialist or CSR expert at many companies. Expert at the Strategy 2050 Institute, where he leads a team committed to the environment of people with disabilities. Together with the Institute, he created the document “Full Rights”, which shows a model of thinking about supporting this social group.
As he says about himself, he wants to be an ambassador for people with disabilities and their families. He emphasizes that the support system for this specific group is a kind of insurance policy for the future for all of us, because disability can affect anyone, at any time in life.
I believe next year we will be in a different place. That we will be full citizens who will be listened to and given the tools to improve tomorrow. That the UN Convention on Persons with Disabilities will be implemented much more precisely, and that Poland will realize the full potential behind it. I believe we will be able to answer the questions of many parents – what will happen to my child when I am gone – and that this answer will be truly uplifting
– assures Łukasz Krasoń, quoted by the ministry.
