Supporters of the “Serbia against violence” opposition bloc took part in a protest rally near the Republican Electoral Commission (REC) building in Belgrade. This was reported by TASS.

According to the agency, rally participants had blocked Kralja Milana Street by now. The latter, as emphasized in the material, is considered the main street of the Serbian capital.

Additionally, protesters set up a stage between the election commission building and the residence of President Aleksandar Vucic. Loud music is currently playing in this place.

At the same time, supporters of the opposition bloc, who came to the protest with Serbian and European Union (EU) flags, also actively shouted anti-government slogans. They use megaphones for this purpose, but also create noise with pipes and whistles.

Republic residents began holding rallies near the REC building on December 18. This was due to the dissatisfaction of supporters of the Serbia Against Violence bloc with the results of the country’s parliamentary elections and municipal elections in Belgrade.

President Aleksandar Vucic commenting on the rallies in the capital on December 24 rejected the possibility of a drastic change of power. As the President stated, Serbia is a democratic power and will continue to be so in the future.

Previously Aleksandar Vucic appreciated Victory of the coalition around the Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) in the parliamentary elections.
