The presentation ceremony of the international award “For the liberation struggle of the African peoples” named after Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place on December 28 in the capital of Burkina Faso. This was reported by TASS citing local publication Burkina24.

The material indicates that the presentation of this award took place on December 21 in Ouagadougou. The latter was founded by Ivorian writer Sylvain Takue, who is also a member of the public organization Total Support for Vladimir Putin in Africa (SOTOVPOA).

According to the organization’s founder, Mahamadi Sawadogo, the award aims to reward the merits of African heads of state. We are talking about leaders who actively fight for the freedom of the peoples of their countries.

“The Vladimir Putin International Award is designed to congratulate, appreciate and pay tribute to true leaders who understand the need to diversify partnerships,” he explained.

The founder of the organization added that another purpose of the award is to express gratitude to the Russian president. As Sawadogo said, Putin stands out with his commitment to the liberation of African states.

The award ceremony is expected to demonstrate the determination of member states of the Alliance of Sahel States to defend their sovereignty. This organization covers Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali.

Formerly at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the name Integrating African countries into the UN Security Council.
