†art. 48 ie the treaty amendment procedure. The main assumptions are the resignation of unanimous decisions, which means that it will be possible to change almost every Polish decision and impose everything on us ”, says MEP Patryk Jaki in an interview with the nowiny24.pl- portal.

The European Parliament wants to change the treaty
On Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the European Council to initiate the process of reviewing the EU treaties, including the right of legislative initiative, as well as introducing majority voting in the EU Council. MEPs call for the Union’s competences to be extended to areas such as health, energy, defense and social and economic policy. They also want the European Parliament to be given the power to initiate, amend or repeal laws and to have full rights as a co-legislator of the EU budget.
Jak notes that the new treaty must be approved by all states, but adds that he fears they could be “blackmailed with money” or that it will be done using the “fait accompli” method.
Today, through the CJEU (Court of Justice of the European Union), they are reinterpreting the current treaty, because they did so, for example, in the area of security, migration or an important part of the climate package, which must be voted unanimously, and by changing the points in the treaty, they were voted on by a qualified majority. Why? Because the CJEU, which I believe is a political instrument and not a court, always slaps them. And we, as Poland, must have an idea for this, because it is going in the wrong direction
– says Jack.
The war in Ukraine. What do the Germans and the French want?
The Poland Solidarity politician, referring to the war in Ukraine, points out that Germany and France are “doing their best to end the war in Ukraine, albeit not necessarily with a victory for Ukraine”.
They are not interested in Ukraine’s victory, but in ending the war in order to do business with Russia again
He says, adding that Paris and Berlin want to drive Anglo-Saxons out of Europe.
Which also draws attention to the document Energiewende, ie the document about the creation by the Germans of “energy resources and making the whole of Europe dependent”.
This document would not exist without Germany’s cooperation with Russia, as it is based on Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2. It is not just gas, but the authors also assume in the future that it will transport hydrogen, which should also be enforced by European law on other countries. They have already managed to pressure Britain, they are doing their best to push the interests of the United States out as well, and to bind Poland, which is too big and too important to in a small, raped car in a German locomotive
– emphasizes Jak.
The MEP also warns of the proposed resignation of the unanimity rule, which “still applies to the most important matters under the treaty”.
This would mean that Poland would be completely subordinate to Germany and France, because anything could be imposed on us. Our opposition will only make them laugh, and it will not be sovereignty, but addiction
– Jack warns.

Three seas and “relationship with Ukraine”
According to the politician, Poland should focus on building the Three Seas Initiative.
That is, the rebuilding of something like the First Republic in its heyday, which provided an effective buffer between imperial aspirations from the east and the west. We should see our historic mission as creating this third Europe, Central Europe, which will be a true Europe of values, but also – by combining all the resources we have – to build something great with Ukraine, and in the future also with Belarus
– he says.
When asked whether Ukraine can join the European Union, Jaki says that Berlin and Paris are doing everything they can to prevent this. Jaki also admits that he is dreaming “A bigger and more permanent relationship with Ukraine and it is best that Poland introduce it to the Union after the victory over Russia”†
