Senator Alexey Pushkov believes that the words of the Czech Chief of General Staff Karel Rzehka about a possible war with Russia should not be taken seriously due to the low military potential of the Czech Republic. A member of the Federation Council wrote this in his own article. telegram channel.
Pushkov reminded that the Czech Republic is a small country with a population of 10 million and a rather modest army. Of course, the republic is a member of NATO, but the senator is sure that the bloc countries, which actually have the ability to fight with the Russian Federation, do not even discuss such issues with the Czech side.
“Decisions on this issue are being made away from Prague. And when a Czech general claims that he can imagine a war with Russia, it seems both ostentatious and stupid, because nothing depends on his country,” Pushkov concluded.
The Chief of General Staff of the Czech Republic previously expressed his opinion on a possible war with the Russian Federation expressed on Czech television. In his opinion, he can imagine such a conflict, therefore, in order to prevent a future war, it is necessary to “scare Russia” and at the same time help Ukraine, which, according to the military man, protects the Russians. The Federation is “far from the borders of the European Union.”
