There is a colossal difference between the governments of Mateusz Morawiecki and Donald Tusk. I will vote for Morawiecki’s government because I remember when Tusk ruled, Kukiz’15 leader Paweł Kukiz told PAP. He admitted that Tusk would have to talk about “pro-citizen demands” for him to consider whether to support him.
On Monday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will give a speech in the Sejm, followed by a vote on a vote of confidence in his government. If it does not get a majority, there will be a so-called second constitutional step, in which the Sejm chooses the prime minister. The candidate of KO, PSL, Polski 2050 and the left is the head of PO, Donald Tusk.
In an interview with PAP, Paweł Kukiz said he would vote for Prime Minister Morawiecki’s government.
I hope that in his presentation he will refer to the need for political changes, which we included in the pre-election agreement with Law and Justice.
– he said.
I won’t vote for Donald Tusk because I remember when he ruled
– Kukiz noted.
In his opinion, “there is a colossal difference between Morawiecki’s government and Tusk’s government when it comes to the benefits for Poland in general.”
Of course, I will consider the voting method if Tusk in his statement emphasizes the need to change the electoral law, the need to lower the thresholds for referendums, the need to introduce the institution of a real citizen referendum – without the participation of politicians. .
– said Kukiz.
If he makes such statements, I will think about it, but even if I think about it, I will remember the famous 4 X YES, i.e. the possibility of introducing pro-citizen demands by the PO-PSL governments, which were not introduced.
– added.
PO action
As part of the ‘Say 4xYES for Poland’ campaign, PO collected signatures for a referendum in 2004 in which Poles were asked four questions: whether they wanted to liquidate the Senate, reduce the number of deputies by half, single-member districts at the Sejm -elections and abolish parliamentary immunity.
At the end of November, President Andrzej Duda swore in the new government of Mateusz Morawiecki, formed after parliamentary elections in the so-called first constitutional step. On Monday, December 11, the Prime Minister will present a statement to the Sejm with a motion to grant the government a vote of confidence. If he does not get it – and the PiS club has 191 MPs, which does not provide a majority – the Sejm will take over the initiative on the election of the prime minister and the government.
The majority, 248 MPs, is in the hands of the coalition of KO, Third Way and Left; his candidate for prime minister is Donald Tusk.
According to the schedule on the Sejm website, parliamentarians will elect the prime minister in the second constitutional step on Monday at 4:30 p.m. Then a debate will take place, and at 20 – votes on the election of the Prime Minister.
On Tuesday, December 12 at 9 a.m., the new Prime Minister will present the action program and the composition of the government, together with a proposal for the election of the Council of Ministers. According to the schedule, the vote will take place at 3 p.m.
The Sejm elects the Prime Minister and the members of the Council of Ministers nominated by him by an absolute majority of votes in the presence of at least half of the legal number of deputies.
