“It can’t get any worse. But I hope that the smarter people from the popular movement will decide before the vote what should be done and what values should be defended. This is not excluded,” said lawyer Marek Markiewicz in “Salon Dziennikarski”. Michał Karnowski’s guests were also: Marzena Nykiel, editor-in-chief of the wPolityce.pl portal, Maciej Pawlicki, publicist, director and Miłosz Manasterski.
Diagnosis of the political situation
The guests of the “Journalists Salon” were asked to diagnose the Polish political scene. Defense attorney Marek Markiewicz said bluntly that “things can’t get any worse.”
But I hope that the smarter people from the popular movement will decide before the vote what should be done and what values should be defended. It is not excluded
– added the lawyer.
He pointed out that Tusk’s announcements about the prosecutor to the investigative committees are “illegal and meaningless.”
The prosecutor can be a participant in the Sejm Commission if he makes the same decision as the prosecutor and analyzes the situation – this is his role. But you cannot say, as was said about MP Nitras, that it will be used in the election campaign. Now Tusk says prosecutors will be deployed to ministries. This is incredible
– emphasizes lawyer Markiewicz.
However, according to Maciej Pawlicki, it could be worse.
We expected this and I think it could have been worse. We can expect very different things that have never happened before in the rule of law. But that doesn’t seem to be the problem. I expect a lot of bad things, but I also expect reflection in the United Right camp, in the independence camp, which won but lost.
– said Maciej Pawlicki.
The director added that “the reflection should focus on what happened” and “just monitoring what will happen, these strange, scandalous things, pointing out points, making fun of them, is not enough.”
I think those who won but lost, who know that leftist Barbara Nowacka will become Secretary of Education, want to know what will happen in the future. Thinking about the reasons for the defeat is necessary. For me, there is not enough discussion and willingness to make this diagnosis, it was lost because there was no coalition capacity, everything was at stake, one number was bet on roulette until the last moment, the lack of willingness of the Sanation to work together has gotten us where we are today
– said Pawlicki.
When asked whether this was not looking for excuses and self-consolation, the director pointed out that “the diagnosis that the forces of evil have conspired and that everyone who is on Poland’s side is already in this camp is false. ”
I’m talking about the mindset that the independence camp needs to continually expand its base. These 7,640,000 votes lose their impact on reality
– added Maciej Pawlicki.
In response, lawyer Markiewicz recalled the text of Prof. Ryszard Legutko, in which the author referred to national shortcomings. The lawyer added that “someone said Poles wanted to punch PiS in the face and destroy it.”
However, Pawlicki had a different opinion and admitted that he did not agree with what the PiS MEP wrote.
They did not foresee the consequences of a gesture that is repeated many times in Poland. The popular movement will vote. Are they defending God? NO. Everything in the coalition agreement is contrary to God, history and tradition. In the European Parliament they showed what homeland means
– replied lawyer Markiewicz.
Communication problem
According to Marzena Nykiel, editor-in-chief of wPolityce.pl, the problem of the United Right camp is communication. As she noted, it is easy to spread attitudes that do not require heroism, and it is easy to attract young people who want to become heroes without any effort.
Maybe the conservative language is too heavy for some people, maybe no effort has been made to reach those areas with a good message. The Women’s Strike, the KOD riots – it was incited, there was money for it, political and business forces were behind it. This has been happening for years, boundaries have been pushed
– said editor Nykiel.
She highlighted that when the Women’s Strike promoted the vulgar slogan 8 stars, there was no response. Another border shift was the vote in Jagodno, after the end of the election silence, with pizza and slogans “we will chase PiS”.
Today we have gone even further. Hołownia, like a parliamentary prestidigitator, a juggler, says that it is cool, that democracy is good and that terrible things happen behind the scenes. Tusk has nothing to do with democracy. There are specific tasks and well-divided roles. The Sejm proceedings are attractive, it focuses on superficial issues, it attracts people’s attention and the Sejm proceedings are shown in cinemas. Many people interested in the change of power want to watch the parliamentary proceedings on December 11 in the cinema with popcorn.
– said Marzena Nykiel.
At every stage there was a lack of response from the United Right, and it remains lacking today. We must make people aware that this democracy is fake, and that behind Tusk’s back he will pursue his main goal, which is revenge.
– she pointed.
According to Miłosz Manasterski, we have no time for analysis and are digging too much into the past, because elections will be held again soon.
If we get stuck in these analyses, the answer should already be there. This must be the response of all of conservative society – including the Church and social organizations that identify with these values
– said Manasterski.
