Guatemalan prosecutors have called this year’s presidential election winning Bernardo Arévalo de Leon illegitimate. This was reported by RIA News.
Prosecutor Leonor Morales said: “The forms used in the calculations were not approved by the general assembly of judges and are legally invalid.”
Bernardo Arevalo, representative of the center-left Seed movement, won the second round of the presidential elections in Guatemala in September 2023 with 59% of the votes. This was announced at a conference by Irma Palencia, President of the Supreme Electoral Court (SEC) of Guatemala.
