Where is the budget? – Marshal Szymon Hołownia asked Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in the Sejm on Thursday. It will be guided by the government that will gain a majority in the near future, the head of government replied. As he added, the budget is very well managed.
The Chairman of the Sejm responds to the Prime Minister
Hołownia referred to the Prime Minister’s announcement, a few minutes earlier during Morawiecki’s speech, that he would sign a settlement on zero VAT on food on Friday or Saturday.

I welcome this regulation and this declaration, because it is appreciated by millions of Poles. I will answer the questions you asked and which were addressed to me
– said the marshal. He added that if the prime minister asks questions to the chairman of the Sejm, “it is within the canon to try to answer.”
The Marshal emphasized that the project regarding credit holidays had been referred to the committee.
The Commission announced that it would wait for the new government, which would be in about a hundred hours
– he noted.
As for your project on freezing energy prices, it has been rejected by the High House, (…) and is currently being considered as a parliamentary project. It’s not like we’re in danger in this case
– emphasized Hołownia.
Thirdly, Mr Prime Minister, as Chairman of the Sejm, I would like to ask a question that I have already asked three times: where is the budget?
– added.
“The budget is very well planned.”
Mateusz Morawiecki responded that “the budget will be sent to parliament (…) by the government which will obtain a majority in the near future.”
Please don’t worry, Mr. Chairman. The budget is very well planned
– said the head of the government.
He added that the budget includes very well planned revenues and expenditures.
Zero VAT on food easily fits into this budget
– noted the Prime Minister.
So next week’s budget, I am very happy with this statement
– Hołownia responded.
Morawiecki’s speech
Prime Minister Morawiecki said in the Sejm on Thursday that the PiS government has proposed a loan holiday project in such a way that more than 1 million Polish families could benefit from it.
More than a million Polish families are concerned about inflation and high loan payments, while the Sejm chairman and the current opposition, which may have a majority in this House, are blocking this project
– Morawiecki noted.
He also called for the adoption of the bill extending the so-called energy shield for companies. He also said he had decided that the zero VAT on food scheme would be signed on Friday or Saturday.
Just in case you accidentally want to cancel this
– declared the Prime Minister.
As he said, the Sejm should “first adopt what is beneficial to the Poles.”
A real energy shield, zero VAT on food and real credit holidays that will be available to at least a million Poles, and maybe even more; I encourage you to make these credit holidays as generous as possible. These are the most important real issues, not waiting for a silver button or bidding on who told the better joke.
– said the Prime Minister.
