Will Krzysztof Hetman become Minister of Development in Donald Tusk’s government? You can read such information in the media. The PSL politician was asked about his political future on Radio ZET.
Hetman in Tusk’s government?
The politician was asked about Donald Tusk’s meeting with future ministers who will meet him.
I was there, I met my colleagues from the Civic Coalition, I was at the PO headquarters. Very good conversation, substantive, including: about freezing prices for entrepreneurs
– he revealed.
When asked if he would be in Tusk’s government, he replied:
I don’t deny that this is a possibility.
“‘This is a crucial moment’
Hetman was also asked why electricity prices should only be frozen for six months.
Each time it was for six months. We’ll see what will happen in the market. This is a crucial moment
– he said.
Hetman pointed this out “It is impossible to freeze prices until the end of the world and one day longer” current.
We need to make prices acceptable and bills will start to drop
– added.
The politician explained that the state budget must add about PLN 15 billion to freeze electricity prices for six months, and the source of financing will be Orlen.
Our bills will be at the level we have today
– he announced.
This provision is ‘absolutely unacceptable’
The conversation also brought up the so-called Mill Act. Hetman stated that the errors in the bill were due to a lack of experience.
We have all said that renewable energy must be unlocked and we are keen to deliver on our promises. We do not have many formal options to implement our program outside parliamentary forms
– he said.
We at PSL would certainly read this project carefully and point out that the provision of approximately 300 meters is absolutely unacceptable.
– added.
Free highways?
Hetman was also asked whether highways should be free.
There is no clear answer to this question. My opinion is that a large part of Poles do not use motorways and if we were to introduce free motorways for all, everyone would have to contribute to the costs of maintaining such motorways.
– Krzysztof Hetman answers.
It sounds very good “free highways”, but if we create free highways, the money will not come from nowhere
– he pointed out.
They come from the state budget, so all taxpayers contribute to highway maintenance. The question is whether everyone benefits from this
– added.
According to him, the PiS government’s move with free highways was ‘pure, cheap populism’.
It was a classic election campaign. That’s all it was dictated by
– he assessed.
In a series of short questions, Hetman was asked, among other things: about the Civil Companies Act. The politician admitted that he would support her.
When asked if a 0% loan will increase house prices, he replied:
Considering what happened with the 2% loan, that’s certainly the case. That is why we must influence the supply market
– he said.
Ministry of Equality?
The guest from Radio ZET was also asked about the idea of creating a ministry for equality. Hetman admitted that he would “consider” his appointment.
The Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Family must of course continue to exist. (…) The fact that we have a problem with equality today – yes, but does that require a ministry… I would wonder
– He admitted.

Hetman also noted that the voluntary ZUS for entrepreneurs will be implemented.
We haven’t gone backwards. This is a misunderstanding. (…) We will implement it, but I cannot say at the moment under what conditions
– he emphasized.
