Bogdan Rzońca commented on the scandalous case of the so-called Mill Act on television wPolsce.pl. “The CBA and the Public Prosecution Service will have a quite difficult task,” said the PiS member.
When asked if lobbyists were behind this project, he said:
In 2016 I introduced the Distance Law in the Polish Sejm, so I know the pressure that lobby groups put on parliamentarians, I have had to deal with it too. My office received almost 7,000 protests against this Law 10H, and they were not protests from serious groups that cared about renewable energy, but from their own companies, against the old equipment imported to build wind farms in Poland. In this case it’s the same. There is a lot of pressure here, and the bill itself is so complicated and difficult that it had to be written by lobbyists and lawyers, and the MPs could not do it themselves. The CBA and the Public Prosecution Service will have a quite difficult task, but they will have to find out who tried to combine these different ideas in one project, and address issues that are not related to the freezing of energy prices, which is very important at the moment for the Poles. .
Rzońca also claimed that the autocorrect does not solve the problem.
This is what the social control of parliamentarians should be about: monitoring all their activities. In this case, the mistake has already been admitted, as evidenced by the withdrawal of these controversial provisions aimed at freezing energy prices. However, keep in mind that this is only the case until June 2024, while there is a Law and Justice project running in Parliament that talks about freezing prices for the whole year 2024. This project is much better, much more readable, much more serious and solves the problem for a year. You might be wondering why they only want to freeze prices until mid-year? I do not understand
– he said.
Money from KPO
The PiS MEP also referred to the money issue in the National Reconstruction Plan and the actions in this regard by representatives of the parliamentary majority.
Such announcements that this money will be there when there is a new government are, in my opinion, greatly exaggerated. The EU bureaucracy works in a standard way, and let’s just say there are some problems in implementing the so-called milestones. These games and Donald Tusk’s announcements that he can unlock the money the next day are exciting, but I don’t think the European Union will do that. I don’t think the official European Union, the one that monitors all the data so closely, has disgraced itself so much. (…) We can expect this money within the normal period. I personally participated in such a discussion. I asked whether any of the 27 countries that did not receive money from the KPO might not receive money or whether there was such a threat? The answer was clear: no, all countries have a chance to receive this money next June. The same goes for Poland. (…) If someone says that it is for Christmas or under the Christmas tree, I do not believe in such miracles
– said Bogdan Rzońca.
